Legal Intern - Summer 2026

Overview

This legal internship offers the opportunity to work closely with the General Counsel of a growing tele-health organization. The role involves exposure to various legal aspects including tele-health laws and regulations, contract review and negotiation, healthcare privacy, policy development, and legal operations.

Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Research substantive legal issues related to telehealth, clinician practice and licensing, and anti-LGBT legislation
• Draft commercial and employment agreements
• Review and evaluate company policies
• Create and revise agreement templates for company-wide use
• Identify and develop process improvements
• Assist with special projects and initiatives
• Support implementation of legal operations processes

Requirements

• Must be a full-time law student at a nationally-accredited law school or a recent law school graduate
• Strong academic record
• Demonstrated passion for LGBTQIA healthcare and commitment to queer issues
• Commitment to protecting sensitive and confidential information
• Motivation to learn about tele-health legal frameworks
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist as needed
• Ability to identify issues and opportunities and escalate concerns appropriately

Compensation

• $25 per hour for up to 12 weeks
