  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure to provide leadership with visibility into department performance
  • Map and audit current legal workflows to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and implement scalable processes for high-volume legal work
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, playbooks, and self-service resources for internal clients
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, including rate negotiations, matter budgeting, and invoice review
  • Implement and enforce billing guidelines; analyze outside counsel spend and identify cost savings
  • Manage legal billing, e-billing software, and matter management systems
  • Build and maintain legal department KPIs, scorecards, and operational reporting
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the legal department
  • Drive special projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Build and curate a legal knowledge management system including templates, precedents, FAQs, and training materials
  • Deliver training sessions to legal and non-legal stakeholders on processes, tools, and self-service resources
  • Create onboarding programs for new legal team members
  • Oversee and optimize compliance with government relations regulatory requirements, including tracking and filing lobbying and political giving disclosures
  • Support board and stockholder administration, including maintaining action trackers, filing consents, minutes, meeting materials, and coordinating approvals
  • Manage annual renewal of foreign qualifications across registered jurisdictions, tracking deadlines and filing requirements
  • Support administration of equity plans, including processing award releases, maintaining cap table records, coordinating quarterly grant cycles, and ensuring compliance with securities and tax requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, law firm management, management consulting, or a closely related field
  • Deep familiarity with legal technology such as contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, matter management systems, e-billing tools, and contract repositories
  • Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives from diagnosis through implementation
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to executives
  • Collaborative approach with a proven ability to build trust with attorneys and business stakeholders
  • Experience working at a high-growth technology company
