Overview
This contract role is for experienced attorneys and other legal professionals to participate in a legal AI training program. The work involves evaluating and improving AI-generated responses to legal questions, including legal research, contract analysis, and statutory and case-law interpretation. The role requires authoring expert-level, primary-source-grounded legal writing used to train AI models. There is no client representation involved. The position is fully remote and self-directed, with a focus on precise legal writing.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve AI-generated legal responses
- Conduct legal research and analyze contracts
- Interpret statutes and case law
- Produce high-quality, expert-level legal writing grounded in primary sources
- Work independently in a remote setting
Requirements
- Approximately 7+ years of substantive legal experience
- Bachelor's degree required; law degree preferred
- Bar admission is valued but optional; practical expertise is prioritized
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- General familiarity with AI/large language model tools (user-level proficiency sufficient)
- Availability for 30–40 hours per week for the full 12-week engagement

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range: $117,000 to $156,000 (pro-rated for contract duration)
- Pay is based on factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market conditions, and candidate preference
