Legal Project Manager | Remote

Overview

This role is an hourly contract position focused on strategic project leadership with legal/J.D. expertise.

• Position: Strategic Project Lead, J.D./Legal Expertise
• Type: Hourly contract
• Compensation: $400K - $550K/yr
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, from pipeline framing and scoping through execution and delivery.
• Translate customer needs into clear, actionable project specifications for legal workflows.
• Design and continuously improve domain-specific data pipelines for usability, accuracy, quality, and scalability.
• Align Operations and Legal domain experts to enable rapid project deployment.
• Set delivery milestones and drive a consistent execution cadence.
• Manage client communication with clear, direct, and consistent updates.
• Manage Legal domain experts and project leads to ensure quality, timely delivery, and effective resolution of blockers.

Requirements

• JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent law degree required.
• Strong experience in legal practice, legal research, regulatory/compliance, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills when working with attorneys and senior Legal experts.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Startup or entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward execution.
• Strong experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or legal-related initiatives.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear plans and execute rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
