Legal Technology Implementation Manager - Financial Systems - Elite 3E & Aderant

Overview

An organization is seeking an Application Consultant Manager to join their Enterprise Solutions – Financial Systems team. This team specializes in evaluating law firm financial system technology, developing technology and process roadmaps, system selection and implementation, and change management. The role involves working closely with project team members and clients to lead requirements gathering and analysis, applying legal technology best practices, and facilitating the selection, implementation, and optimization of legal technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of finance projects including facilitating requirements gathering, documenting processes, and implementing solutions
• Provide specialist knowledge of technical applications such as Elite 3E and Aderant Expert, including knowledge transfer to clients
• Configure and develop technologies based on technical requirements and design
• Support client business process reviews, identify key business requirements, and translate them into technical requirements and design
• Draft project deliverables including findings and recommendations, functional and technical design documents, data maps, test scripts, training and communication plans, and training guides
• Provide line management and mentorship to Junior Associate Consultants to build their technical and consulting skills
• Assist in business development efforts such as proposals (RFPs), workplans, and presentations by collaborating with team members and leaders
• Conduct research on client industries, legal technology, and legal industry trends to identify finance operational system and process opportunities
• Assist with evaluation of new products and services identified as opportunities
• Create and maintain Financial System pitch collateral to ensure relevance within the practice group
• Become proficient in specific legal technologies related to active projects
• Proactively contribute to the growth and development of the Finance Systems team and the organization
• Maintain approximately 80% of time spent on client-billable projects for both self and team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal technology involving assessments, requirements gathering, system design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Understanding of implementation and upgrade processes including requirement analysis, design, configuration/development, migration, testing, and change management
• Strong observational, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen, problem-solving, and leadership skills; proficient in process mapping
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a client service-centric mindset
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards and attention to detail
• Understanding of project management tasks including managing tasks, resources, and financials during technology implementation projects
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, take initiative to improve operational efficiency, and create client deliverables with moderate oversight
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with an eagerness to learn and develop new subject matter expertise and business skills
• Advanced computer skills primarily in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; familiarity with Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint as collaboration tools
