Paralegal / Intake Specialist - ERTC

Overview

This role involves providing virtual paralegal support to law firms, focusing on practice area-specific tasks across transactional and litigation matters. The paralegal will serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, working independently while receiving support from an Account Supervisor to manage client relationships and ensure quality service.

The position is project-based, supporting a high-volume Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) operation across approximately 42 states. The engagement is expected to last 6–8 weeks, with an anticipated workload of about 80 hours per month.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scripted intake calls with prospective clients
• Ask qualification questions using a provided framework
• Record and coordinate call transcripts for internal use
• Collect and organize client documentation within Microsoft OneDrive
• Maintain accurate intake records and organized digital files
• Communicate professionally and efficiently with prospective clients
• Follow established workflows and processes with minimal supervision

Requirements

• Prior paralegal or legal intake experience
• Comfortable conducting live client calls
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based file management
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• US-based candidate required
• Business hour availability
• Reliable home internet connection and computer
• Remote work experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with tax or financial services
• Experience with ERTC matters
• Experience following structured intake scripts and workflows
• Ability to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position
