Paralegal (Texas) Remote

Overview

A consumer protection law firm specializing in representing clients against creditor and debt collector harassment is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal. The firm is located in New York City's Financial District but this is a remote position requiring candidates to be based in Texas or Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in managing a high volume of civil litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues
• Perform administrative duties including client intake, organizing files, and record keeping

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of practical civil litigation experience with end-to-end case management and drafting
• Strong legal writing skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Computer literate with ability to quickly learn case management software
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be based in Texas or Oklahoma

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certification
• Experience with Salesforce

• Hourly pay of $25.00
