Payments Counsel - Interim Attorney

Overview

A publicly traded e-commerce technology company is seeking an interim Payments Counsel Attorney to support their payments product group. This is a full-time, remote contract position lasting approximately 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for day-to-day product payments initiatives
• Handle compliance, licensing, and agreements with financial partners
• Support global product launches by navigating regulatory and compliance issues
• Manage relationships and agreements with financial institutions, including global banking partners

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in-house on payments-related legal matters
• Experience with regulatory payments, banking, or fintech is a plus
• Strong familiarity with financial institution partnerships and global banking

Position Details

• Role Type: Contract (3 months)
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Location: Remote

Compensation & Benefits

• Annualized pay range (full-time equivalent): $190,000 to $220,000
• Pay for contract engagements is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions
