Regulatory Counsel

Overview

A leading interactive entertainment company specializing in free-to-play online social games is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to join their Legal team in the USA. This role involves advising on gaming and government affairs regulation, providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance and manage legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on U.S. gaming laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advise on government affairs activities, ensuring compliance with lobbying, ethics, and campaign finance laws.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership by delivering clear, practical guidance on complex regulatory and legal matters.
• Draft and maintain internal legal guidelines related to regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house, preferably within gaming or another highly regulated industry.
• Active bar membership.
• Significant experience advising government affairs teams and working with U.S. regulators on licensing and enforcement processes.
• Strong risk management skills and commercial acumen to understand business drivers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and simplify complex legal concepts.
• Ability to work independently across different jurisdictions and time zones while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD $230,000 - $270,000 per year.
