Senior Counsel (Regulatory)

This role involves advising senior management and legal teams on global laws and regulations, particularly around online safety frameworks, and managing compliance programs. Responsibilities

• Advise senior management, Product Counsel, Compliance Team, and Legal leadership on key global laws and regulations, including online safety frameworks
• Lead multi-stakeholder regulatory compliance strategies
• Provide legal analysis of legislative and regulatory drafts to the Public Policy team
• Support advocacy and engagement with regulators and trade associations
• Respond to global regulatory inquiries and investigations

Requirements

• Qualified attorney with at least 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, either within a regulatory body, in-house, or at a law firm
• Experience handling regulatory enforcement actions brought by regulatory bodies
• Prior work experience or substantial knowledge of the tech industry; familiarity with tech or video games is an advantage
• Comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment, navigating complex issues, and driving high-risk/impact projects
• Ability to make sound judgments and decisions in ambiguous situations where clear guidance may not exist
• Proactive, independent, and reliable under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of individuals and teams
