Overview
This role involves serving as an Associate Attorney specializing in healthcare revenue cycle management. The position focuses on advocating for healthcare providers in disputes with insurance carriers and managed care organizations, particularly in resolving denied insurance claims through administrative appeals.
Responsibilities
- Represent healthcare providers in administrative appeals for denied insurance claims.
- Develop creative and effective legal arguments to overturn claim denials.
- Draft compelling and well-researched appeal letters to insurance companies and benefit administrators.
- Utilize provider manuals and managed care contracts to dispute unjust denials.
- Collaborate with provider representatives and resolution teams to manage complex claims.
- Identify industry trends and provide insights to improve recovery strategies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
