Overview
This role is for an Associate Attorney supporting a creditors’ rights practice in Oklahoma. Licensure is required, including admission to the Oklahoma Bar. The position is state-level and focuses on both review of information at file placement to determine collection eligibility and Oklahoma litigation work.
Responsibilities
- Handle full litigation responsibilities, including:
- Reviewing correspondence and case files to determine whether matters are suit appropriate
- Reviewing answers
- Preparing discovery
- Preparing dispositive motions
- Managing trial responsibilities and appearing for hearings
- Maintain knowledge of post-judgment remedies, including attachment and garnishment
- Stay current on state and federal consumer laws and changes in state or local rules
- Manage a high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in debt-collection through all phases of litigation, from commencement through post-judgment actions

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (law degree)
- Admission to the Oklahoma Bar
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney
- Experience in creditor’s rights litigation
- Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequently required to talk and/or hear, and to use hands to type, handle, or touch objects
- Regularly required to stand and walk; may be required to stop, bend, or reach above shoulder level
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

Schedule
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support business needs

- Pay: $75,000 to $80,000 per year
