Associate Legal Counsel I NAM

Overview

This role involves supporting the drafting and review of employment, commercial, and corporate agreements with minimal guidance. The position provides accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice on employment law, contract negotiations, and corporate matters. It also includes identifying and suggesting improvements to contract management processes to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review employment, commercial, and corporate agreements.
• Provide legal advice on employment law, contract negotiations, and corporate issues.
• Identify legal risks and develop potential solutions under supervision.
• Analyze contract terms and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Work on assigned projects with clear deadlines, ensuring timely and high-quality completion while meeting all service level agreements (SLAs).
• Operate with increasing autonomy, escalating complex issues as necessary.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions clearly to managers and stakeholders.
• Provide well-structured explanations of legal matters to non-legal team members.
• Engage in two-way communication with teams to foster collaboration and problem-solving.
• Contribute to discussions on process improvements and legal strategy.
• Assess market trends in employment law and contract negotiations to provide informed insights.
• Perform additional tasks or assignments as required by management.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience, with a strong background in cross-border employment law matters (in-house experience is not essential).
• Specialist knowledge of employment law.
• Proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, and eager to continually learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
