Overview
- Role: Attorney (Remote, Part-Time Contractor)
- Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
- Compensation: $100 - $135 per hour
This position involves providing senior-level legal review and final validation of site control, interconnection, and permitting-related documentation for energy infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with PJM generator interconnection procedures and FERC-regulated processes. Additionally, the attorney will contribute expertise to training next-generation AI systems in the energy sector by delivering high-quality, real-world input.
Responsibilities
- Conduct senior-level legal review and final validation of documentation related to site control, interconnection, and permitting for energy infrastructure projects.
- Ensure project materials comply with PJM generator interconnection procedures, queue-readiness expectations, site control requirements, and applicable FERC regulations.
- Review escalated issues concerning site control, interconnection, and permitting; provide guidance on resolution and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of PJM interconnection compliance, FERC regulations, energy permitting, and site control review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in PJM interconnection compliance, FERC regulations, energy permitting, and site control review, particularly related to generator interconnection and energy infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience providing senior-level legal review and final validation of complex documentation with meticulous attention to detail and risk mitigation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide expert guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
