Attorney with Deposition Experience

Overview

The organization is seeking a California-licensed attorney with at least four years of experience taking and/or defending depositions for a contract role with a law firm that has offices in California. Work will focus primarily on depositions conducted via Zoom. This is a completely remote position, and candidates may be located anywhere in the United States. Experience with mass tort and/or toxic tort matters is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in depositions primarily by Zoom
• Work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Requirements

• Licensed in California
• 4+ years of experience taking and defending depositions
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding references
• Capability and experience to work independently and as part of a team
• Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on mass tort and/or toxic tort matters

Compensation & Benefits

• Annualized compensation range: $175,000 to $200,000 (calculated on a full-time basis)
• Pay is based on work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
• In addition to salary, W2 employees are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan
• Benefits-eligible employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance
• Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend
