Bilingual Personal Injury Legal Assistant

Overview

This is a fully remote, full-time position for a Case Manager Assistant / Legal Assistant supporting pre-litigation personal injury cases. The role involves managing cases from inception through settlement, including client file setup, insurance claim reporting, lien notifications, drafting correspondence, obtaining police reports and medical records, assisting clients with medical scheduling, and handling property damage claims. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to build caring client relationships, and collaboration with attorneys and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Open and set up new client files
• Report claims to insurance companies
• Notify statutory lien holders
• Draft representation letters
• Request police reports
• Order medical records and bills
• Assist clients with scheduling medical treatment
• Support property damage claim processes
• Maintain extensive contact with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other involved parties

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary
• Familiarity with legal procedures, protocols, and court systems
• Knowledge of day-to-day legal office operations
• Proficiency with computers and case management software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong secretarial and organizational abilities with effective prioritization and multitasking
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $16.00 - $25.00, dependent on experience, education, and other factors
