California Licensed Litigation Attorney (Remote and Contract)

Overview

A law firm with offices throughout California is seeking a California licensed attorney with at least four years of litigation experience to support general litigation and commercial litigation matters. This role is completely remote.

The firm is considering both permanent hires and contract engagement attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Handle general litigation and commercial litigation matters
• Perform civil litigation case workup activities, including:
  • Written discovery
  • Motion work
  • Depositions
  • Hearings
  • Trial preparation

Requirements

• 4+ years of legal experience in litigation
• Licensed and in good standing in California
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding references

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing civil litigation case workup activities (written discovery, motion work, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation)

Compensation & Benefits

• Annualized compensation: $175,000 to $205,000 (full-time basis)
• Pay is based on numerous factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
• In addition to salary, W2 employees are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan
• Benefits-eligible employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance
• Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend
