Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced commercial construction law attorney for a part-time, remote contract engagement. This role involves working on sophisticated commercial construction matters with a flexible schedule. It is ideal for an attorney with a litigation and construction industry background looking to contribute to a skilled legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle commercial construction claims and disputes
  • Provide legal expertise on owner-side construction matters (preferred)
  • Engage in litigation related to commercial construction

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of legal experience
  • Substantial experience managing commercial construction claims or disputes
  • Owner-side experience strongly preferred
  • Litigation experience at a large law firm or sophisticated boutique preferred
  • In-house legal experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing
  • Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized pay range (full-time equivalent): $170,000 to $200,000
  • Contract pay rates depend on experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market factors, and candidate preferences
