Commercial Title Examiner

Overview

Provides nationwide title services in support of real estate transactions. Responsibilities include searching public records and examining property titles to determine the legal condition of property title as part of a production center, branch office, or member of a title team.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, investigates, and examines public and tax records to determine liabilities and the legal condition of the title and insurability of primarily commercial or industrial property title
• Prepares accurate and comprehensive title commitments in accordance with company examining and policy procedures
• Follows standard procedures and guidelines
• Understands how assigned duties relate to others within the team and how the team integrates with related teams
• Impacts own team through the quality of the support provided
• Recognizes and solves typical problems; selects solutions from established options
• Communicates moderately complex information in routine situations, typically within own team
• Works under general supervision with limited ability to modify approach; individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities; manages own workload
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Education

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred

Experience

• Typically requires 2+ years of related work experience

Compensation & Benefits

• $56,900.00 - $86,400.00 Annually
• Base salary range is a guide and may vary based on candidate knowledge, skills, education, experience, location, market conditions, and other compensation components
