Commercial Title Examiner - Maryland (Remote)

Overview

This role supports global title and escrow production across multiple channels. As a Commercial Title Examiner, you will work independently and apply your experience to help ensure large-scale real estate transactions close smoothly and securely.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of projects ranging from single-property to multi-property commercial transactions where detail matters.
• Search, examine, and connect data across counties and jurisdictions.
• Verify legal property descriptions, including reading, interpreting, and plotting.
• Review and analyze public records such as leases, subleases, deeds, liens, and easements to determine ownership and any title-related restrictions.
• Summarize findings and prepare title commitments and reports with precision and clarity.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information through careful research and documentation.
• Collaborate with underwriters and internal partners to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the title process.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of directly related experience in title searching, examining, and writing commitments in the state of Maryland.
• Understanding of relevant legal and real estate terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, Internet, property data platforms, and the ability to learn company systems.
• Strong ability to analyze complex information and solve problems independently.
• Highly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven, and paperless environment.
• Clear and professional communication with a customer service mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $26.88 - $35.82 Hourly (Remote)
• Eligibility-based comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO/paid sick leave, and an employee stock purchase plan.
• This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on multiple factors, which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
