Conflicts Analyst

Overview

A growing national law firm is seeking a dynamic Conflicts Analyst to join their team remotely. This role offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $25 to $37 and is ideal for candidates residing in one of the following cities: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis, or Minneapolis.

Responsibilities

• Define effective search strategies and conduct conflicts searches for new business and potential lateral matters using the firm’s internal electronic database.
• Analyze, articulate, and communicate search results to firm attorneys, including identifying and suggesting resolutions for potential conflicts.
• Perform comprehensive corporate research using online databases to determine corporate affiliations and relationships accurately.
• Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel, General Counsel, firm attorneys, and the conflicts team to assist in conflicts resolution.
• Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for review.
• Assist in large-scale review, reconciliation, and clean-up of the firm’s existing client/matter information and conflicts database.
• Provide excellent customer service to legal assistants and firm attorneys.
• Work remotely and be willing to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Requirements

• Strong preference for experience with Intapp.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and decisively.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Initiative and adaptability to changes in workflow, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Acute attention to detail with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to all levels within the firm.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a conflicts department within a mid- to large-sized law firm.
• Working knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules related to conflicts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Intapp software.
