Contracts Attorney

Overview

This role is a Contract Specialist position (Associate L1 or Analyst L2) for candidates with 2–3 years of experience. The role is remote and based in the US.

The position involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of agreements (including NDAs, Statements of Work, Amendments, and Master Service Agreements), completing Quality Checks (QCs) per project guidelines and client instructions, and delivering work that meets SLA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts across multiple agreement types (including NDAs, Statements of Work, Amendments, and Master Service Agreements)
• Negotiate client-preferred terms in alignment with established playbook and guidelines
• Collaborate effectively as a team member while managing individual workload
• Perform QC on drafted/reviewed contracts according to project instructions
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure timelines are met
• Deliver work with consistent quality, meeting or exceeding SLAs
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of experience in procurement contract drafting, review, and negotiation
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze complex contractual language, identify risks, and propose mitigations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues clearly
• Detail-oriented and target-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in MS Word and familiarity with contract redlining platforms/tools
• Logical thinker with sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to adapt to process changes with a quick learning curve
• Self-motivated and disciplined, able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with ISO and organizational standards

Education & Experience

• Attorney (JD-qualified), or Paralegal, with 2+ years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation
