Overview
A global leader in the technology industry is seeking a Corporate Lawyer specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions to join as a lead contractor. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere and provides compensation ranging from $40 to $70 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and annotate complex corporate, M&A, and financial documents with emphasis on compliance and data privacy standards
- Identify and address potential exposure of personally identifiable information (PII), documenting best practices for anonymization and sensitive data handling
- Provide guidance on the structural identifiability of content to ensure compliance while maintaining data utility
- Support the development of training data, evaluations, and feedback loops aimed at improving AI model performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legal expertise into AI development processes
Requirements
- Strong experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and finance, particularly with a focus on data privacy and compliance
- In-depth knowledge of PII regulations and best practices for anonymization and handling of sensitive data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex legal issues
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with effective time management and organizational skills
