Counsel of Cyber Claims

Overview

This role involves managing, handling, and overseeing complex primary and excess Cyber Claims within a specialty insurance underwriting operation focused on Management Liability, Excess Casualty, Errors & Omissions, and Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Manage and handle complex Cyber claims, including verifying coverage, conducting investigations, evaluating liability and damages, and developing resolution strategies
• Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with claims department service standards
• Set appropriate and timely reserves
• Assist underwriters with prospective business opportunities
• Collaborate with attorneys, brokers, and insureds regarding the handling and resolution of complex claims
• Prepare reports on potential exposure for company management
• Develop and maintain relationships with business-specific vendors, including incident response vendors, defense, and coverage attorneys

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant claims experience
• JD degree preferred
• Superior analytical abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary starting at $120,000+ (based on experience)
