Responsibilities

  • Secure attorney coverage on a deadline by managing a portfolio of open court hearings and contacting attorneys daily via phone, text, and email.
  • Negotiate fees in real time by holding your position on price, handling counteroffers, and extending above-standard offers when a market is tight—while protecting margin.
  • Triage a fast-moving pipeline by prioritizing competing hearings, making sound judgment calls quickly, and explaining reasoning clearly to the team.
  • Handle urgent coverage needs including last-minute changes, cancellations, and coverage gaps.
  • Onboard and support attorneys by walking new attorneys through how the coverage process works, answering questions, and serving as the go-to contact.
  • Keep law-firm clients in the loop by updating them on hearing status to build trust and reduce surprises.
  • Maintain accurate records by logging activity, confirming assignments, and keeping the pipeline current.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring coverage gaps and sharing ideas during daily huddles and team meetings.

Requirements

  • 1+ year in a role requiring high-volume phone outreach or direct negotiation. Examples include inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, dispatch, scheduling, or high-touch customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage many open items at once without missing details.
  • Calm and decisive under deadline pressure.
  • Comfortable and quick to learn new platforms.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in staffing, dispatch, gig-platform operations, or a high-volume call-center/outbound environment.
