This role involves providing courtroom hearing coverage on short notice for law firms. You will own a live book of open court hearings and work outreach channels (phone, text, and email) to secure the right attorney before each hearing deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a live portfolio of open court hearings; contact attorneys daily by phone, text, and email to confirm coverage before hearing dates.
  • Negotiate fees in real time, including handling counteroffers and extending above-standard offers when a market is tight while protecting margin.
  • Triage a fast-moving pipeline by prioritizing competing hearings and making quick, sound decisions under deadline pressure.
  • Handle scheduling changes, cancellations, and urgent coverage gaps with a solutions-first mindset.
  • Onboard and support attorneys by walking new attorneys through how the coverage process works and serving as their go-to contact.
  • Keep law firms updated on hearing status to prevent surprises and maintain trust.
  • Keep records accurate by logging activity, confirming assignments, and maintaining pipeline/data integrity.
  • Identify recurring coverage gaps and contribute ideas during daily huddles and team meetings.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a role requiring high-volume phone outreach or direct negotiation (examples include inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, dispatch, scheduling, or high-touch customer service).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort working on the phone.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage many open items at once without letting anything slip.
  • Calm and decisive under deadline pressure, with the ability to make calls and keep work moving.
  • Tech-comfortable and able to quickly learn new platforms.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in staffing, dispatch, gig-platform operations, or a high-volume call-center/outbound environment.
  • Track record of hitting or exceeding KPIs in a metrics-driven role.
  • Familiarity with CRM or scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to legal, court, or collections operations.
  • Comfortable on Mac OS and Google Workspace.
