Employee Benefits Associate

Overview

The organization is seeking an Employee Benefits Associate with 4–7 years of experience in the welfare-side of the employee benefits advice and counsel practice.

Responsibilities

As an Associate in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Department, you will work on interesting, challenging, and complex legal projects in a team-based environment.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of employee benefits experience in health and welfare plans, including:
  • HIPAA
  • ACA
  • COBRA
  • mental health parity
  • cafeteria plans
  • flexible spending accounts
  • severance plans
  • related compliance and counseling work
• Top law firm experience, or a combination of law firm and in-house experience
• Excellent academic credentials
• Analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills
• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or the ability to waive into the Illinois Bar)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $340,000 to $370,000
• This salary range is applicable for jobs to be performed in Seattle and reflects the lowest to highest salary the organization would pay for this role at the time of posting.
• An employee’s pay within the range will be based on factors including relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
• Eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
• Comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
