Financial Services Litigation Attorney - Commercial

Overview

A national law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level litigation Associate and/or Senior Counsel to join its Consumer Financial Services practice. This role is remote, based in upstate New York, the Hudson Valley, or Suffolk County.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and supervising attorneys to develop strategy, litigate, and resolve disputes involving defaulted commercial loans for traditional and non-traditional lenders.
• Analyze and review loan-level documentation.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and workout resolution agreements.
• Argue motions and handle court appearances.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York Bar in good standing is required.
• Admission to the New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania Bar in good standing is a plus.
• Experience in financial services and contested foreclosure litigation is required.
• Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters is preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $140,000 to $210,000 (applicable to candidates performing work in New Jersey; salary for other locations may vary).
• Hybrid work arrangements supporting work-life balance, allowing work from both office and remote locations.

Location

• Remote work from upstate New York, the Hudson Valley, or Suffolk County.
• Candidates must be located in New York.
