Law student / research assistant with focus on data protection

Overview

This role supports the legal department with a broad range of responsibilities, with a primary focus on data protection. Additional work covers contract drafting/review, legal research, and other in-house legal support activities. The position offers 100% remote work.

Responsibilities

• Support data protection matters across the organization
• Draft and review a range of contracts
• Conduct legal research and assess issues in data protection law (primary focus)
• Support with legal research and assessment in other areas, including:
  • general civil law
  • medical law (especially DiGAV)
  • competition law
  • social security law
• Perform paralegal or administrative tasks, such as:
  • obtaining signatures from contracting parties
  • maintaining documents
• Support work across the entire group in a bilingual setting

Requirements

• Fluency in German and English
• Legal knowledge
• Basic knowledge of data protection law

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of data protection law
• Knowledge of medical law
