Overview

An established immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney (IV) to join their expanding team in a fully remote capacity. The role offers a competitive salary, comprehensive employee benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume caseload including PERM applications, I-140 petitions (PERM-based, Extraordinary Ability, and Multinational Manager), N-400, I-90, I-485, I-765, and I-131 filings.
  • Draft, review, and revise petitions, applications, PERM Labor Certification audit responses, and Requests for Evidence (RFEs) for submission to USCIS.
  • Effectively manage client relationships and supervise a team of paralegals handling high-volume clients.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support client requests and projects.
  • Explain complex immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.
  • Draft and prepare letters and legal documents, typically based on established precedents.
  • Assess and evaluate clients' immigrant visa eligibility.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and databases accurately and continuously.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of business immigration attorney experience.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a U.S. law school.
  • Membership in a state bar and in good standing with the respective state bar association.
  • Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients.
  • Strong understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts.
  • Ability to carefully and promptly review paralegal work product.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills tailored to clients, governmental agencies, and internal/external resources.
  • Strong logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proven case and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Openness to feedback and adaptability regarding work performance.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and case management systems such as Salesforce (Litify), VisaTrax/INS Zoom, and other document management systems.
