Overview

A dynamic and leading law firm is seeking a New York admitted attorney with over 5 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation to join its insurance coverage group. The role involves handling declaratory judgment actions and drafting coverage opinions and position letters. Strong legal writing and research skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands
• Represent clients at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings
• Maintain communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy
• Manage own caseload and collaborate to develop litigation strategy
• Perform legal research and produce strong written work

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience handling insurance coverage litigation
• Relevant litigation experience in insurance coverage matters
• Familiarity with insurance defense is preferred
