Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

Overview

A law firm is seeking a full-time Attorney to join their Insurance Defense Department. This role involves handling a variety of insurance defense matters across New York City, including Queens and Kings County. The position is fully remote but requires court appearances in proximity to New York Courts within the NYC and Tri-State area. Immediate hire is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense cases from initial file opening through discovery to resolution
• Conduct depositions and trial preparation
• Appear in court as needed, primarily in Queens and Kings County
• Work autonomously with clients and other attorneys
• Utilize extensive knowledge of New York court procedures

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required
• Strong trial experience, including trial to verdict preferred
• Experience with deposition intake
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
• Residency within proximity to New York Courts (NYC and Tri-State area) to attend court appearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus
