Overview

A legal team is seeking a Junior Attorney with 0–3 years of experience to join their growing practice handling criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation matters in Iowa. This is a remote-first position based in Cedar Rapids, with local court appearances required as needed. The role offers hands-on mentorship and training from experienced attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and gradually take ownership of cases in criminal, family, and civil law
• Attend court with guidance and support
• Draft pleadings and communicate with clients
• Develop litigation skills and grow into independent case management

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Iowa or awaiting bar exam results
• Interest in litigation across criminal, family, or civil law
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $75,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience and workload
• Compensation tied to chosen billable target
• 10% origination bonus
