Overview
An organization is seeking experienced lawyers to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This role involves using legal expertise and professional judgment to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that enhances AI's understanding of legal analysis, statutory interpretation, case law reasoning, drafting standards, and professional legal communication.
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can be performed alongside primary employment.
Responsibilities
- Use professional legal experience to design job-related prompts.
- Review AI-generated responses for legal accuracy, sound reasoning, clarity, and relevance to real-world legal practice.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active or previously active law license in good standing.
- Professional experience practicing law in a firm, corporate, or government setting.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow written guidelines.
- Professional judgment, reliability, and a high standard of discretion and confidentiality, especially with sensitive or proprietary information.
- No prior AI or technical experience required.
Work Model and Project Details
- Status: Independent contractor (not a full-time employee role).
- Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
- Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors work approximately 5–20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
- Duration: The AI program runs year-round, with projects opening periodically across different areas of expertise. Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.
Work Authorization Information
- F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify for projects. Candidates should consult their Designated School Official to determine eligibility.
- If a CPT course is required by the school, this program may not meet those requirements.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
