Legal Consultant - Derivatives

Overview

A legal services organization is seeking Legal Consultants with experience in derivatives to join their team. This role is suitable for legal practitioners with at least 2 years of experience in derivatives or structured products, gained either in private practice or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Advise business clients directly, providing guidance and practical solutions related to the evolving financial regulatory environment
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of standard and complex derivatives documentation for both sell-side and buy-side clients
• Assist with projects responding to current regulatory and political changes
• Advise on risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with up-to-date regulatory standards
• Support the development of new products and markets where applicable

Requirements

• Legal practitioner with ideally 2+ years of experience in derivatives or structured products
• Experience gained in private practice or in-house legal teams
• Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders
• Adaptability to new situations and work environments
