Legal Consultant - Financial Services

Overview

A financial services legal consultancy role is available for candidates with experience in banking, regulatory compliance, or banking finance. This position involves providing legal advice and support within the financial services sector, particularly investment banking.

Responsibilities

• Advise business clients directly on banking-related legal matters, offering practical and commercially tailored solutions.
• Support legal matters including regulatory advice, contract drafting, and reviewing across various practice areas within investment banks.
• Analyze new business initiatives and products/services from a legal perspective as needed.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with domestic and international legal requirements, promoting a culture of compliance within the business.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general banking, regulatory compliance, or banking finance.
• In-house legal experience is preferred but not essential; secondee experience is also considered.
• Strong commercial understanding.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
