Legal Consultant – Margin Lending / Equity Derivatives / Prime Brokerage

Overview

The organization is seeking Legal Consultants with experience in APLMA loan documentation / margin lending / equity derivatives / prime brokerage to support a global investment banking client.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for equity-backed financings, including margin loans using APLMA or similar industry-standard loan agreements, and related security and ancillary documents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate equity derivatives documentation (e.g., total return swaps, collar financings, and related confirmations).
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues relevant to equity financing and equity derivatives transactions.

Requirements

• 4–8 (+) years’ post-qualification experience (PQE), including experience with APLMA loan documentation/margin loans and/or equity derivatives/prime brokerage, ideally from a sizable financial institution and/or law firm.
• Strong experience with industry-standard loan documentation (e.g., APLMA or margin loans) OR familiarity with equity derivatives products such as total return swaps and collar financing (both ideally).
