Legal Data Intelligence Lead

Overview

This role involves leveraging legal expertise to support the development and evaluation of generative AI capabilities focused on legal data intelligence. The position bridges the gap between practicing litigators and applied science teams to optimize AI solutions for legal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve tests, benchmarks, and evaluation systems for generative AI solutions using subject matter expertise.
• Collaborate internally with applied scientists, product managers, designers, engineers, and customer enablement teams to provide feedback on AI enablement, performance, usability, and functionality.
• Engage externally with clients and industry professionals to explain generative AI systems and gather feedback on document analysis, classification, information protection, and knowledge extraction.
• Develop and deliver training and documentation on legal data intelligence workflows and best practices for internal teams.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate with 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, or equivalent experience with a legal service provider or legal technology vendor.
• Strong interest in using generative AI to responsibly advance legal practice and access to justice.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of synthesizing and conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience in discovery or legal technology platforms.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant litigation experience with deep understanding of investigations, litigation processes, discovery, and pre-trial practice.
• At least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and broader Legal Data Intelligence use cases and workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $134,000 to $202,000.
• Eligibility for an annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.
• Final salary offer will consider experience, skills, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
