Overview
The organization is seeking a Legal Editor for a temporary, remote assignment supporting a U.S.-based legal information and technology project. This work involves the review and evaluation of AI-generated U.S. legal content produced by large language models (LLMs).
Ideal candidates have litigation experience; transactional attorneys are also encouraged to apply. Selected professionals will analyze AI-generated legal content, evaluate legal accuracy, and provide detailed feedback to support model development and training.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate AI-generated legal content, including memoranda, briefs, legal summaries, and research responses.
- Create prompts and inputs for large language models using Excel and other software tools.
- Assess generated legal content against defined criteria and required legal elements.
- Review statutory and case law citations for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze summaries, research answers, and draft legal documents for legal accuracy and quality.
- Provide ratings, written assessments, and detailed feedback commentary on generated content.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced project environment.
- Collaborate with project leads and managers; communicate questions and updates as needed.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- Active license to practice law required.
- 1+ years of litigation experience required.
- Strong legal research, legal writing, and analytical skills.
- High familiarity with U.S. legal documents and legal content.
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to learn new software and work effectively across multiple technology platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments.
- Comfortable seeking clarification when needed.
- Ability to meet established productivity and quality expectations.
- Experience providing detailed analytical feedback on reviewed content.

Compensation & Benefits
- $29.50/HR
- Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and federal and state leave programs as required by applicable agency regulations for those who meet eligibility. Additional details are provided upon successful hire.

Schedule
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Monday through Friday
- Must generally be available during standard business hours and not have conflicting employment obligations.
