Overview
This role is a Summer 2027 Personal Injury Attorney Internship Program for rising 3L law students. The organization is seeking five (5) exceptional candidates for a structured internship designed to provide hands-on plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience, direct mentorship, and a pathway that can extend beyond the summer.
Responsibilities
Successful interns may have the opportunity to:
- Complete the Summer 2027 internship program
- Continue working part-time during their 3L year
- Receive ongoing mentorship and professional development
- Sit for the Bar Exam following graduation
- Transition into a full-time attorney position upon successful bar admission
During the internship, interns will:
- Assist attorneys and legal staff with case preparation and litigation support
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, demand letters, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
- Review and organize medical records, discovery materials, and case documentation
- Track deadlines and assist with case management workflows
- Participate in client intake, case evaluation, and strategy discussions as appropriate
- Prepare exhibits, summaries, and supporting documentation for legal proceedings
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and third parties as directed
- Observe and support mediations, depositions, hearings, and other aspects of personal injury litigation
- Utilize Microsoft Office and firm case-management systems to support day-to-day legal operations
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and operations professionals to deliver exceptional client service
- Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning
Qualifications
Required
- Current law student who will be a Rising 3L in Summer 2027
- Enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school
- Expected to sit for the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) following graduation
- Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in Personal Injury Law
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively while also handling assignments independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Must successfully complete all firm onboarding requirements and background screening
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
- Prior experience working in a law firm, legal clinic, judicial internship, or litigation environment
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in plaintiff-side personal injury law
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
