Legal Operations Associate (Remote)

Overview

An organization focused on transforming venture capital is seeking a Legal Operations Associate to support the launch and maintenance of multiple venture capital firms globally. This role involves working closely with general partners (fund managers) on fund paperwork and operational matters including formation, governance, and compliance.

This position offers exposure to all facets of venture capital within a fast-paced startup environment. Remote candidates based in the U.S. will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support formation and ongoing governance needs of general partners and their funds across various domiciles
• Coordinate with legal partners to prepare fund formation and governance agreements
• Utilize and contribute to the development of a premier SaaS platform for venture capital firms
• Manage fund client accounts and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal or fund operations performing legal work under attorney supervision
• Strong professional communication skills via phone and videoconferencing
• High digital literacy with ability to quickly learn new software
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Composure under high-stress situations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• High emotional intelligence and intuition

• Detail-oriented and analytical, especially regarding legal agreements

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in venture capital
• Experience working in startups or incubators
• Familiarity with startup financings
• Multi-lingual capabilities
• Experience with SaaS platforms

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $80,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience
