Legal Operations Specialist - Illinois

Overview

A remote opportunity is available for a Legal Operations Specialist with experience in designing and implementing strategic solutions and improvements within legal departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal operations processes for clients and perform new process mapping.
• Develop new processes and design roadmaps for implementation.
• Assist clients in evaluating potential Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, including Ironclad, Agiloft, ContractPod, and Luminance.
• Implement AI tools and promote increased usage of AI features within legal teams.
• Create and maintain resource materials related to operational processes.
• Plan and implement improvements to contracting systems, including template development and uploading.
• Support project coordination and process management activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a legal operations professional optimizing in-house legal workflows, including contract, performance, vendor, and financial management.
• Familiarity with legal department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Experience managing budgets and spend management, including e-billing.
• Experience with CLM implementation.
• Experience with AI tools.
• Comfortable with software implementation and integrating new systems with existing workflows.
• Strong experience with legal operations technology and related software.
• Experience with the CLM tool Ironclad is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated total compensation for full-time non-attorney roles ranges from $71,250 to $309,750 per year.
• Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
