Partnerships are a key growth engine for the organization’s capital markets business. The Legal Partnerships Lead will act as a strategic partner to law firm BD, marketing, and innovation teams—cultivating internal champions, designing joint programs, and bringing market and legal intelligence to partners and their clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen strategic law firm relationships

    • Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of leading AmLaw and Chambers-ranked firms.
    • Lead meetings independently and navigate firm BD, marketing, and innovation teams, including conflicts and confidentiality considerations.
    • Cultivate champions across practice groups and offices to ensure durable relationships beyond any one person.
  • Design and run co-marketing and joint engagement

    • Partner with firms on initiatives that create mutual value and visibility, including joint content and thought leadership, co-hosted briefings and events, client dinners, and conference activations.
    • Collaborate closely with the organization’s marketing team.
  • Deliver differentiated intelligence to partners

    • Work with Market Intelligence and Legal teams to provide legal and market intelligence firms can apply with their clients, including CLE-eligible briefings, deal term standards, and tailored reports.
  • Deepen collaboration through the organization’s platform and standards

    • Where it adds value, help firms engage with the organization’s platform on transactions.
    • Collaborate on industry-standard documentation through working groups.
  • Keep mission and impact front and center

    • Focus on relationships and collaborations that most advance the capital markets business and improve clients’ access to capital.
  • Strengthen the operating system for partnerships

    • Maintain partner records, track relationship health, and surface program insights with RevOps.
    • Refine playbooks so effective approaches become repeatable.
  • Get out in the market

    • Attend partner briefings, conferences, client events, and roadshows.
    • Travel is approximately 25%.

    • Evidence that people trust you to represent their interests in the room.
  • Commercial instinct and accountability

    • View partnerships as a growth engine.
    • Ability to demonstrate meaningful commercial impact, including outcomes and actions taken.
  • Builder’s mindset with a bias to action

    • Approximately 6–8 years of experience.
    • Track record owning meaningful workstreams or relationships independently.
    • Experience building playbooks or refining early versions.
    • Comfort working without large support teams.
    • Interest in using AI tools as a force multiplier.

  • Cross-functional tact

    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with limited direct authority.
    • Capability to represent partner needs internally in a way that builds trust.
  • Excitement to grow in clean energy finance
