Litigation Assistant

Overview

The legal organization is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Personal Injury Litigation Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in managing litigation processes for personal injury and employment law matters.

In this role, you will help ensure efficient case management through strong organizational skills, accurate document handling, and assistance with trial preparations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Organize and maintain case files to ensure documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
• Support discovery by gathering and summarizing evidence, organizing responses, and creating discovery binders.
• Maintain and monitor case calendars to track deadlines, appointments, and hearings, and communicate updates to the legal team.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients by providing case progress updates and assisting with client inquiries as needed.
• Assist with trial preparation, including creating exhibits and organizing trial binders.
• Conduct basic legal research as assigned and summarize findings for attorneys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Prior experience working in a U.S. legal environment is required.
• Experience in personal injury law is preferred; experience in employment law will be considered a strong plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with legal research databases is preferred.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to support team members in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $4–$5 an hour.
