Litigation Associate (2-5 years) - New York

Overview

The organization is seeking an associate for its New York office with 2 to 5 years of complex litigation experience in state and federal courts. Admission to the New York Bar is required.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex, challenging litigation matters in collaboration with senior attorneys
• Draft briefs and other legal filings
• Argue motions
• Take and manage depositions
• Handle complex, high-stakes matters (preferred areas include commercial litigation, investigations, white-collar defense, securities litigation, and managed care)

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of substantial litigation experience in state and federal courts
• Demonstrated analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong judgment and initiative
• Desire to take meaningful ownership of matters and contribute as an integral member of the litigation team
• Top law firm experience is preferred; a combination of law firm and in-house experience will be considered
• Must be admitted in New York

Preferred Qualifications

• Top law firm experience or judicial clerkship
• Experience handling complex, high-stakes matters, particularly in:
  • Commercial litigation
  • Investigations
  • White-collar defense
  • Securities litigation
  • Managed care

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $235,000 - $340,000
• Annual merit increase and bonus pay eligibility
