Litigation Attorney - Remote

Overview

This organization is a New York-based law firm specializing in real estate and default services, with 300+ employees providing legal services to clients across seven states. The firm is seeking strong default litigation attorneys in each jurisdiction, with compensation anticipated accordingly.

This position involves litigated matters, including contested motions, appeals, and evidentiary hearings.

Responsibilities

• Draft motions, briefs, and memorandums of law
• Conduct legal research
• Appear in a wide range of court proceedings, including high-level contested motions and evidentiary hearings
• Respond to discovery requests and related motion practice
• Manage all aspects of assigned contested cases, including devising and executing legal strategies

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience independently handling contested motion practice
• Admission to practice law in the state of NY (admitted in NJ/PA/CT is a plus)
• Superior writing, research, and oral advocacy abilities
• Ability to quickly and effectively identify and resolve legal issues
• Able and eager to manage a heavy workload and produce a significant amount of legal work
