Litigation Counsel

Overview

An experienced Litigation Counsel with at least 6 years of litigation experience is sought to lead complex, high-impact litigation matters. This role involves mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with a team of seasoned legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of complex litigation, including case investigation, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, trial, and settlement negotiations.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with attorneys, staff, and expert witnesses.
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary contact throughout the litigation process.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation staff.
• Coordinate with opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders to advance litigation objectives.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality legal work while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Travel as necessary for court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and trials.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience.
• Proven experience managing complex affirmative litigation.
• Strong skills in legal research, writing, analysis, oral advocacy, and negotiation.
• Experience handling discovery, dispositive motions, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $180,000 to $205,000 annually, depending on experience.
