Overview
This fully remote, contract role is for an experienced probate and/or trust & estates attorney interested in working flexible hours while leveraging the sophistication of a solo practice.
The ideal candidate is licensed in New Hampshire and has 5+ years of experience handling probate and administration proceedings, along with knowledge of local/jurisdictional rules governing probate.
Responsibilities
- Handle probate matters with a focus on probate and administration proceedings
- Complete and file probate forms and supplemental court filings based on jurisdictional requirements
- Prepare and manage documentation including, but not limited to:
- Inventory and Appraisal
- Accounting
- Final Distribution documents
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience handling probate matters
- Knowledge of appropriate forms and filing requirements based on jurisdictional rules
- Experience completing probate forms and supplemental court filings, including but not limited to Inventory and Appraisal, Accounting, and Final Distribution documents
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding references
- Licensed and in good standing in New Hampshire
Preferred Qualifications
- Probate and/or trust & estates experience (probate and/or trust & estates attorney)
- Familiarity with local/jurisdictional rules governing the probate process
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $150,000 to $210,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.
- Contract pay is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect competitiveness).
Benefits (as applicable):
- Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.
