Newly Barred Associate Attorney, Workers' Compensation (Remote - California Licensed)

Overview

This role is for an Associate Attorney at a workers’ compensation and employment law firm in Burbank, CA.

Candidates MUST be California State Barred and reside in the state of California. Newly barred attorneys or attorneys who have taken the February 2025 Bar are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of cases through resolution.
• Handle deposition-related tasks, including:
  • Preparing clients for depositions
  • Attending depositions
  • Invoicing depositions
• Respond to client inquiries that require attorney negotiations and help move matters toward resolution.
• Respond to incoming emails and phone calls.
• Provide direction and guidance to non-attorney team members as needed.
• Contribute positively to the workplace and lead by example.
• Participate in team events during work and after work hours.
• Provide feedback to management to help ensure strong client service.

Requirements

• Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctors’ deposition experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 / year
