Part-Time Interim General Counsel - Litigation

Overview

A part-time Interim General Counsel position is available to support ongoing legal initiatives and guide an organization through a period of operational complexity and growth. This role offers primarily remote work with occasional travel to Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the in-house legal team to support and execute current priorities
• Lead and manage multiple litigation efforts, providing updates to the CEO and Board of Directors
• Advise leadership on emerging risks and assist in preparing for future challenges

Requirements

• Extensive experience in corporate litigation; experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Minimum of 10 years serving as General Counsel or Senior Counsel, preferably in challenging or evolving business environments
• Strong presence and experience working with C-suite executives and Boards
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
• Active and in good standing with the Illinois Bar

Work Setup

• Primarily remote work
• Expected to travel to Chicago once a month
